Deb is a 24-year-old graphic designer, rugby player, and "mom" to Chewie the guinea pig and Duster and Oreo the chinchillas. Deb is currently obsessed with Pilates, and spends her lunch hour boning up on the latest fantasy football predictions.

Jamey [aka "James," "J.Diddy," "Doolio"], is a 25-year-old veteran of the US Army, now working for the government. He is currently fascinated by Xbox, reclining sofas and "The Apprentice."
Through mutual friends... we were introduced at a housewarming party in June 2001, but we didn't really notice each other until we were [unknowingly] set up at Luke and Nelly's Halloween party later that year.

We were engaged on April 21, 2003... I guess you could say it was and it wasn't a surprise. Jamey lost a lot of sleep over choosing a ring, so he had already consulted me about what I liked--which meant I knew The Question was coming soon. Anyhoo, we went out to eat after work, and Jamey suggested we take a walk in Quiet Waters Park "for exercise." That got me a little suspicious, because he NEVER suggests exercising after eating... he usually falls asleep. After we were there about 45 minutes [squinting into a very blustery sunset and trying not to get blown off the steps into the water], Jamey said he had something to ask me... and got down one knee and popped the question! :)

Deb and Jamey are registered at Williams-Sonoma, and a few other places that they haven't gotten to yet.

Please note: there is a Navy football game on October 23. You may want to leave a little extra time to get to the church, as stadium traffic will back up onto Route 50.

From Baltimore and points north:
Take I-97 south towards Annapolis. I-97 can be accessed from I-695 [Baltimore Beltway] or I-895 [Harbor Tunnel Thruway]. If coming from I-95, you can also take Route 100 east. I-97 merges with US 50/301--go east towards the Bay Bridge. Take exit 29B for East College Pkwy/Cape St. Claire Rd. At the first traffic light, make a left onto College Parkway. Go about 500 feet and make a left [there is a big wooden sign for St. Andrew's]. Please park close to the Church hall [pass by 1 parking lot and the church, and park in the upper parking lot].

From Washington DC and points south:
Take US 50 east towards Annapolis/Bay Bridge. Follow directions from above.

The closest airport is BWI, approximately 20 miles away. Dulles and Reagan National are also possibilities; Dulles is over an hour's drive, and National Airport is somewhere in between, depending on traffic and how often you get lost in DC [which is quite often for me].

The reception begins immediately following the ceremony [2:30ish] and lasts until whenever! The food will be served buffet-style. More details to come.

We have two hotels booked in the city of Annapolis, within a few blocks of the mall and several restaurants. They are approximately 5 miles away from the church and reception site.

Radisson: $129/night

Best Western: $89/night [2-night minimum], $99 for one-night stay
410-224-2800

State that you are with the VanDereedt/Dulin wedding block. You have a choice of double or king rooms. Please note: several other hotels have raised their rates because of the "special event" [the Navy football game, not our wedding ;) ]. If you choose not to stay at the Radisson or Best Western it is advised to make your reservations EARLY!
